Rust Raidable Bases: every difficulty explained.

Raidable Bases give you the thrill of a Rust raid without hurting another player. They are NPC-defended bases that spawn on the map, packed with loot and guarded by scientists. On a PvE server they replace raiding other players, and on our 3X Rust PvE server you can buy one whenever you feel like a fight.

What is a Raidable Base?

A Raidable Base is a prebuilt base placed on the map by the Raidable Bases plugin. It looks and plays like a real player base: walls, doors, turrets, traps and loot rooms. The difference is that nobody lives there. It is defended by NPCs, and when you break in, the loot is yours.

Because no real player loses anything, Raidable Bases work perfectly on PvE servers. You get to use explosives, plan a breach and clear rooms, while player bases stay protected.

The five difficulties

  • Easy: a small base with a few defenders. Good for your first raid, solo or with a friend.
  • Medium: bigger, with more doors and more NPCs. Bring some boom and meds.
  • Hard: a serious base with turrets and tougher defenders. Better as a duo or small group.
  • Expert: large and well protected. Plan your route and bring a full kit.
  • Nightmare: the hardest base there is, with the best loot. Made for a well-geared group.

The harder the base, the tougher the NPCs and the better the loot inside.

How to buy a Raidable Base on ForgeRust

  • Open the Raidable Bases menu in game.
  • Pick a difficulty, from Easy to Nightmare.
  • A base spawns on the map for you and your team, with a marker so you can find it.
  • Raid it, clear the defenders and take the loot.

A base you buy belongs to you and your team while you raid it. Up to three bought raids can run on the server at the same time, so if the server is busy you may have to wait a moment.

How to prepare

  • Grab a kit and top up in the shop before you go.
  • Set a home close to where you like to raid, so you can teleport back to restock.
  • Bring meds, armor and more explosives than you think you need, especially from Hard upwards.
  • Raid with your team: there is no team limit on ForgeRust PvE.

Raidable Bases on a PvE server

On ForgeRust PvE, Raidable Bases are the only bases you can raid. Players cannot damage each other or each other's bases, so you can build big and log off without worrying about offline raids.
